Bridges/Structures in Arachova Bypass Motorway

Project Information:

The purpose of the contracts in the context of which the bridges/structures' were designed, is the construction of a motorway that will bypass the urban complex of Arachova and will facilitate traffic to Delphi-Itea and to the adjacent Ski Center, and minimize the adverse environmental problems that accumulate in Arachova due to traffic.

The bridges/structures will be developed around 3 basic intersections.

    Eastern Interchange

  • Bridge Γ1 with 3 spans, a total length of 92,64m. and a superstructure of precast prestressed T-beams.
  • Bridge Γ2 with 4 spans, a total length of 155,00m. and a superstructure of precast prestressed T-beams.
  • Bridge Γ3 with 7 spans, a total length of 178,00m. and a superstructure of prestressed box-girders with seismic expansion joints.
  • Access Structure to Bridge Γ3 Reinforced Concrete Box-type Structure, with a length of 19,80m.
  • Pilewalls with a total length of 360,00m.

Western Interchange & At-grade Intersection

  • Bridge Γ5 with 3 spans, a total length of 85,00m., and a superstructure of a twin reinforced concrete box-girder.
  • Bridge Γ7.1 with 3 spans, a total length of 76,00m., and a superstructure of a reinforced concrete box-girder.
  • Bridge Γ7.2 with 4 spans, a total length of 101,00m., and a superstructure of a reinforced concrete box-girder.
  • Bridge Γ7.8 with 1 span, a total length of 14,20m., and a superstructure of a twin reinforced concrete box-girder.
  • Γέφυρα Γ8 with 1 span, a total length of 14,86m., and a superstructure of a twin reinforced concrete box-girder.
  • Pilewalls with a total length of 980,00m.
